Baltimore/Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport (BWI) is located approximately 40 minutes from downtown DC, BWI offers a full range of domestic and international flights.

Group Transportation To/From BWI Airport
MARC train service takes travelers from BWI to Washington, D.C.'s Union Station (Penn Line). Trains runs approx. every 30 minutes Monday-Friday; fare $5. From Union Station (701 First Street, NE, Washington, DC) take Metro rails Red Line to Foggy Bottom Metro Station in Washington, DC (fare $1.35-$3.90). Most hotels offer free shuttle service from the Metro station to their hotel.

 Metro System

Using the Metro System
Metrorail offers safe and convenient subway transportation to most of the major attractions in the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area. The Metro subway system consists of five color coded rail lines: red, blue, green, orange and yellow. The M Street Hotel is serviced by two convenient Metro stations: Foggy Bottom (blue and orange lines) and Dupont Circle (red line). Metro station entrances are marked by tall brown pylons topped by a large capital "M" as well as bands of color indicating the lines that are available at that station. All Metro stations are manned by Metro officials who provide security and rider assistance. Metro maps are available inside each station and posted aboard each subway car. Virginia Railway Express (VRE)

From the North (New York/Baltimore): Approximately 30 minutes south Baltimore exit at 495 West (Capital beltway). Continue to Connecticut Avenue, Exit 33. Turn left on Connecticut Avenue going south towards Washington, DC. After approximately 7 miles, bypass Dupont Circle by taking the underpass (center lane). Continue 3 blocks and turn right onto M Street. Go 7 blocks and turn left at 23rd Street. Go one block and make a left onto L Street. Go one block and take a wide left onto New Hampshire Avenue. The hotel will be 1 block down on your right side.

From the South (Richmond): Take I-95 North and veer off onto the Capital Beltway (495 North/ 95 North towards Baltimore). Continue on I-95 North and exit at I-395 to Arlington Memorial Bridge. Ext across the bridge in the far left lane, bearing left around the Lincoln Memorial and take your first left onto 23rd Street. Continue about 8 blocks to Washington Circle. Follow traffic halfway around the circle and make a right onto New Hampshire Avenue. Hotel is 2 blocks down on the right.

From the West (Manassas/Fairfax/Falls Church): Take I-66 East to Constitution Avenue. Continue on Constitution Avenue until you get to 18th Street. Make a left onto 18th Street. Continue on 18th Street until you get to Pennsylvania Avenue. Take a left onto Pennsylvania Avenue. Make a right onto 22nd Street. At the third traffic light make a slight right onto New Hampshire Avenue, cross L Street. The hotel is half a block down on the right side.

From the North (Pennsylvania/Frederick/Rockville/Bethesda): From I-270 South, take the right fork marked I-495 South (Northern Virginia). Exit right onto the George Washington Memorial Parkway. Take Rosslyn/Key Bridge exit, turning right to cross the Key Bridge, turn right onto M Street and proceed through Georgetown. Stay on the right as M Street becomes Pennsylvania Avenue. Continue to Washington Circle, and go ¾ around the circle, turning right onto New Hampshire Avenue. Hotel is 2 blocks on the right side.

From Reagan National Airport: Exit Airport following signs to Washington, DC, onto George Washington Memorial Parkway. Stay to left avoiding all right hand exits until the Arlington Memorial Bridge. Enter the city while crossing the bridge, stay in the left hand lane. Make your first left onto 23rd Street. Take 23rd Street to Washington Circle. Follow Washington Circle and take a right turn off the Circle onto New Hampshire Avenue. The hotel will be on your right side.

From Dulles International Airport: Take Dulles Airport Access Road to VA-267 East which will take you directly to I-66 East. Follow I-66 East to the Constitution Avenue exit. Continue on Constitution Avenue until you get to 18th Street. Make a left onto 18th Street. Continue on 18th Street until you get to Pennsylvania Avenue. Take a left onto Pennsylvania Avenue and then a right onto 22nd Street. At the third traffic light make a slight right onto New Hampshire Avenue, crossing over L Street. The hotel is half a block down on the right side.

From Baltimore-Washington Airport: Exit airport onto I-95 South. Follow signs for I-495/Silver Spring. Take I-495 to Connecticut Avenue (exit #33) towards Washington, DC. Approximately 7 miles South, you will approach Dupont Circle. Stay in and go under the circle. A the third traffic light, turn right onto M Street, and then a left onto 23rd. Take a left onto L Street and then a wide left onto New Hampshire Avenue. The hotel will be on your right side.

From Union Station (Amtrak): Take Massachusetts Avenue westbound, approximately 14 blocks to 14th Street and Thomas Circle. As you go around the Circle, exit onto M Street. Continue 9 blocks to 23rd Street. Turn left onto L Street and a left onto New Hampshire Avenue. Hotel is on the right side.
