The rate for the above hotel is $187.00 plus tax per night for single occupancy and $212.00 plus tax per night for double occupancy. To receive this reduced rate, indicate that you are requesting a room for the Nutrient Sensing, Insulin Signaling, and Hamartoma Syndromes Meeting when making your reservation.       Reservations must be made no later than Monday, April 3, 2006 and must be secured with a major credit card. Please be certain that the hotel provides you with a confirmation number for your reservation. After Monday, April 3, 2006, the official room block will be released, and the hotel may charge significantly higher rates or it may be sold out. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m., and check-out time is 12:00 noon.            Meeting Location     The meeting will be held at the Lister Hill Auditorium on the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Campus in Bethesda, Maryland. Participants may travel to the Lister Hill Auditorium by taking the Bethesda Metro Red Line to the Medical Center Metro Station (one stop). Lister Hill Auditorium, which is located in Building 38 and is part of the National Library of Medicine, is about a 10-15 minute walk from the Metro. You also may board a Campus Shuttle bus from the Metro Station that will take you to Lister Hill Auditorium. The Clarion Hotel Bethesda is within walking distance of the NIH campus.            Ground Transportation     Using the Metro   The Metro system is clean and reliable. It operates from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight, Monday through Thursday; 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on Friday; 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on Saturday; and 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight on Sunday. Each passenger must buy a farecard to travel in the system. Guides for purchasing farecards are posted on the vending machines in each station. Each Metro car features a complete color-coded map. Station atendants on duty at each station can provide additional information on request.       From Ronald Reagan National Airport to the Clarion Hotel Bethesda Park (Metro fare is approximately $3.45 for travel during peak hours and $2.70 for travel during off-peak hours.) Take ground transportation to the Metro terminal. Take the Yellow line towards Mt. Vernon. Get off at the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station. Transfer to the Red Line in the direction of Shady Grove. Exit at the Medical Center Metro/Naval Medical Center and NIH Station. From Union Station to the Clarion Hotel Bethesda Park (Metro fare is approximately $2.95 for travel during peak hours and $1.85 for travel during off-peak hours.) The hotel is approximately 2 miles on the right.       From the South If you are traveling from the South, take I-95 North to I-495 North and take Exit 34-Route 355 South.
