Hotel Accommodations
A limited number of sleeping rooms for conference participants has been reserved for the NIDDK Kidney Development and Repair Conference at the host hotel, Hilton Alexandria Old Town. The rate is the prevailing government rate of $188.00 per night for single and double occupancy plus applicable state and local taxes.
To receive this reduced rate, please call Hilton reservations at 1-800-HILTONS or 703-837-0440, and indicate that you are requesting a room for the NIDDK Kidney Development and Repair Conference when making your reservations. Reservations must be made by no later than Monday, January 8, 2007, and must be secured with a major credit card. Please be certain that the hotel provides you with a confirmation number for your reservation. After January 8, 2007, the official room block will be released and the hotel may charge significantly higher rates and may be sold out. When making a reservation, please provide room and bedding preferences. The hotel will assign specific room types on check-in, based upon availability. Please be advised that requests are not guaranteed.
Travel Support
Travel awards are available for presenting postdoctoral researchers/fellows and students. These will be chosen from among submitted abstracts on the basis of quality and significance. If you would like to apply for a travel award, please include a short cover letter containing a brief biographical sketch along with your abstract, and indicate whether you would prefer to present your work as a talk, poster, or either. The abstract submission deadline is December 1, 2006.
