POSTER ABSTRACTS (All Participants):
   
DEADLINE FOR POSTER ABSTRACT SUBMISSION:  Friday, October 3, 2008

Participants of the Drug-Induced Liver Injury:  Standardization of Nomenclature and Causality Assessment Workshop, sponsored by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases and National Library of Medicine of the National Institutes of Health are encouraged to submit an abstract of their current research activities. Abstracts selected will be presented during the poster sessions both days of the workshop, and researchers may have the opportunity to give an oral presentation to the group. Submissions will be reviewed for content by the meeting organizers.

Please follow the instructions below to submit an abstract for consideration:
  • Prepare an abstract that is no more than 1-2 pages in length.
  • Provide a statement of the problem, purpose, methods, results, and conclusions.
  • Type the abstract title in bold font and Title Case Letters.
  • List the names, degree(s), and institutional affiliation(s) of all authors in the order of their contribution to the research.
  • Italicize the name of the person who will present the abstract at the workshop.
  • Submit your abstract via email to Ms. Susie Warner at swarner@scgcorp.com with "DILI Abstract and your Last Name" in the Subject line; attach your abstract as an MS Word document to the email, along with any comments, by October 3, 2008.
Status and Setup:  Notice of acceptance or rejection will be sent to each submitter by a workshop organizer by November 3, 2008. Poster presentations will be displayed on 4-foot-high by 6-foot-wide poster boards. If accepted, you will be required to create a poster display not larger than these dimensions to be displayed during the workshop. Pushpins and Velcro will be provided onsite to each poster presenter.
   
SPEAKER ABSTRACTS AND BIOGRAPHIES (Speakers Only):
Speakers will be asked to submit a short biography (1 paragraph - approximately 500 words or less) and a 1-2 page abstract of their talk no later than Friday, October 24, 2008, to Ms. Warner at swarner@scgcorp.com. Both the biography and abstract will be included in the workshop program book, so it is important for presenters to meet this deadline as it affects the printing deadline for the program book.
   
SPEAKER PRESENTATIONS (Speakers Only):
Please submit an electronic copy of your PowerPoint presentation to Ms. Warner by Friday, November 21, 2008, at swarner@scgcorp.com. All presentations will be loaded onto one computer to ensure a smooth transition between speakers during the meeting. Both Mac and PC laptops will be available. Please let Ms. Warner know if you will need Internet access or other special AV equipment during your presentation.
