Reservations A limited number of sleeping rooms for conference participants has been reserved for the NIDDK Acute Liver Failure Meeting at the host hotel, Hyatt Regency Bethesda. The rate is $166 (or the prevailing government rate that is published after October 1, 2006) per night for single occupancy plus state and local taxes (12%). To receive this reduced rate, please call Hyatt reservations at 1-800-233-1234 or 301-657-1234, and indicate that you are requesting a room for the NIDDK ALFM Meeting when making your reservations. Reservations must be made by no later than Friday, November 3, 2006, and must be secured with a major credit card. Please be certain that the hotel provides you with a confirmation number for your reservation. After November 3, 2006, the official room block will be released and the hotel may charge significantly higher rates and may be sold out. Directions to the Hyatt Regency Bethesda Using the Metro System The Metro System (http://www.wmata.com/metrorail/systemmap.cfm) is clean, reliable, and safe. It operates from 5:30 a.m. to 12:00 midnight Monday through Thursday; 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on Fridays; 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on Saturdays; and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight on Sundays. Each passenger must buy a farecard to travel in the system. Guides for purchasing farecards are posted on the vending machines in each station. Each Metro car features a complete color-coded map. Station attendants on duty at each station can provide additional information on request. From Ronald Reagan National Airport to the Hyatt Regency Bethesda Take the ground transportation to the Metro terminal. Take the Yellow Line towards Washington. Get off at the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station. Transfer to the Red Line towards Grosvenor or Shady Grove. The Hyatt is above the Bethesda Metro Station. From Washington Dulles International Airport to the Hyatt Regency Bethesda There is no direct access to the Metro from Washington Dulles International Airport, but the Washington Flyer does run a shuttle to and from the airport and the Farragut North Metro Station. Take the Red Line towards Grosvenor or Shady Grove from Farragut North. The Hyatt is above the Bethesda Metro Station. SuperShuttle SuperShuttle offers service to most hotels from Ronald Reagan National (~$30 per person), Washington Dulles International Airport (~$25 per person and $8 for every additional person), and Baltimore/Washington International Airport (~$31 per person and $11 for each additional person). Take Exit 34 (Wisconsin Avenue/Route 355). Follow Route 355 South for approximately 3 miles and the Hyatt Regency Bethesda will be on the right, on the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Old Georgetown Road. From the North and West From I-270: Take I-270 South to I-495 (Capital Beltway) East toward Washington, DC. Stay in one of the three left lanes. Follow signs for 355 South, a left-lane exit, onto Wisconsin Avenue. Follow Route 355 South for approximately 3 miles and the Hyatt Regency Bethesda will be on the right, on the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Old Georgetown Road. From the South Take I-95 North to I-495 (Capital Beltway) toward Tysons Corner/Rockville. Follow I-495 for 20 miles. At the I-495/I-270 split, stay to the right on I-495. Take Exit 34 (Wisconsin Avenue/Route 355). From Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) Take the George Washington Parkway North to I-495 (Capital Beltway) and follow the signs to Maryland. At the I-495/ I-270 split, stay to the right on I-495. From Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) Take the Dulles Access Road for approximately 13 miles to Exit 18. Move to the right on the Dulles Toll Road (Route 267); get off at Exit 18.
